Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Plan to join members of the League of Women Voters and guests when representatives of the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth, will discuss preventing ACEs, and the neurological impact that ACEs can have on a child's future. Early experiences directly impact how the brain gets built; exposure to ACEs harm the developing brains and bodies of young children and lead to poor mental and physical health across their lifespans. Preventing and mitigating these experiences benefit all Tennesseans by reducing crime, violence, substance abuse, unhealthy behavior and physical disease.
