Community Forum On Nashville Policing: Faith Community Response

In October 2016, Gideon's Army published a ground breaking study of traffic stops conducted by Nashville police. Their analysis and study provided factual data to what communities of color in Nashville have long experienced: "driving while black" in Nashville constitutes a unique series of risks, vulnerabilities, and dangers at the hands of the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) that white drivers do not experience in the same way. Please join other persons of faith as we learn from Gideon's Army and Vanderbilt Divinity School the challenges that communities of color face when they interact with law enforcement and how we can advocate and pursue justice for all Nashvillians.
