Tsar to Lenin

Max Eastman is the narrator of the 1937 documentary film Tsar to Lenin, recently reissued in a centenary edition. He is among many Americans who went to Moscow in the wake of the now 100-year-old Russian Revolution. Join us at the Green Hills library to watch the film and a slideshow about American travelers to Russia throughout the past 100 years, including Eastman -- whose sister Crystal Eastman was an early-20th-century feminist, whose third wife Yvette Eastman was linked to the writer Theodore Dreiser, and whose many friends included Charlie Chaplin.,+3701+Benham+Ave,+Nashville,+TN+37215/@36.109904,-86.8091029,16z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x8864646cfbeb0ce7:0xed3cef45518be458
