Remembering the Fort Pillow Massacre

There will be a vigil in the capitol rotunda, at the statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest, slave trader, Confederate Army general and founder of the Ku Klux Klan. We will remember his massacre of more than 250 surrendered African American Union troops and noncombatants and we will call for the removal of the statue from our capital.
