Vigil to "Confront Corruption & Defend Democracy"

The organization calling itself "Indivisible" has called for an "emergency vigil" in response to Trump's meeting with Putin and assorted other kinds of corruption. Not just Nashville, but in more than 100 places across the country. Here in Nashville, the rally will be in front of 3322 West End Ave, the offices of our senators.

Editorial comment: In my opinion, making peace with Russia is the only thing Trump is doing right. It's ironic that this crime is the one that has raised the greatest anger in the Democrats, the corporate press, and purportedly independent groups such as "Indivisible." It makes me think perhaps they are all working, either wittingly or not, for the weapons industry -- Boeing, Lockeed, Raytheon, etc. -- whose enormous profits are endangered by the threat of peace. As for "defending democracy," Gilens and Page proved statistically in 2014 that we haven't actually had a democracy for a long time.
