LWV: Suffrage, Voting and Political Activity of African-American Women in Tennessee

Rebecca Price, Founder of Chick History

Take a break from the election news of the day to look back at history – specifically women’s history in Tennessee. Join us to learn about the initiative of Chick History to digitize family and local history related to African American women’s political history in Tennessee before 1930. “Protecting the Legacy” is an effort to expand the narrative of suffrage, voting, and political activity in our state during this time period.
