Heretics Unplugged: Speak Out and Open Mic

Eastwood Christian Church
1601 Eastland Ave, Nashville, Tennessee 37206

A world on fire -- from the local to the global, our political future and even the fate of our very planet -- is frighteningly impossible to predict as 2018 comes to a close. As we go into the holiday season in such a time as this, Holy Heretic Zine will host its first Nashville "Heretics Unplugged: Speak Out and Open Mic" on Dec. 1.,-86.7428026,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x886468788a4a72d3:0x8dc8c8a3935c4f40!8m2!3d36.1834599!4d-86.7406139

Holy Heretic Zine's December theme is "Born of a Woman," and the December speak out and open mic will follow the same theme. If you are a musician, a poet, an essayist, a dancer, a story-teller or other creative type, we invite you to take the stage during "Heretics Unplugged." To get your name on the performance line-up, send an email to or you can sign up at the event.

In addition to the performances, there will be a photography exhibit by Sherrie Pilon Rollins and print editions of the December Holy Heretic Zine will be available.

A chili and cornbread dinner will be served during the performances.

There is a suggested donation of $10 for admission. "Heretics Unplugged" is a fundraiser for Harriet Tubman House and No Exceptions Prison Collective.
